AUT International Scholarships – Faculty of Culture and Society - 2024

Brief Description:

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) and the Faculty of Culture and Society provide scholarships to recognise and support international students as they begin their journey in becoming great graduates of AUT.

Description:

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must complete the AUT International Scholarships - Faculty of Culture and Society application online from the link on this page.

Applicants are required to upload:
  • A current and valid conditional or unconditional offer to study an eligible AUT programme commencing in Semester 1, 2024.
  • Detailed academic transcript for the most recent qualification, complete with grading scale.
  • Completion certificate (e.g., bachelor’s degree certificate).
  • Their AUT student ID in the box provided on the application form.
  • All documentation must be uploaded by the closing date otherwise the application will be considered ineligible.
  • Applicants are required to declare if they have applied for other scholarships both internally (i.e. awarded by AUT) and externally (e.g. government scholarships). The selection committee will take this into consideration.


Amount and Type of Award:

The scholarship consists of a $7,000 contribution towards fees.

Tenure:

The scholarship is awarded for one year only.

Important Information:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
  • Applicants must be full fee-paying international students (Note: International students are students who are neither citizens, permanent residents nor resident visa holders of New Zealand or Australia).
  • New to AUT applicants must have a current and valid conditional or unconditional offer to study in a Faculty of Culture and Society programme (Bachelor's and Master's degrees only and at least 120 points) commencing in Semester 1, 2024. Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching, Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning programmes and Doctoral programmes are excluded.
  • Students who have already commenced studies at AUT are not eligible to apply.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
  • International students are not citizens, permanent residents nor resident visa holders of New Zealand or Australia.
  • The scholarship will be paid as a compulsory fees credit towards the first year of study at AUT.
  • AUT is not obliged to make an award if there is no candidate of sufficient merit.
  • The regulations are periodically reviewed by the University Scholarships Committee and are subject to change.
