AUT International Scholarships - 2025
Brief Description:
Auckland University of Technology (AUT) provides scholarships to recognise and support high achieving international students as they begin their journey in becoming great graduates of AUT.
Applications for students enrolling in a Diploma in Business, Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Laws commencing in Semester 1 2025 are open now until all spaces are filled or until 11:55pm on Wednesday the 19th of February 2025 (NZ Time). Applications for all other programmes closed on the 15th of November 2024 and no late applications will be accepted.

Eligible students who wanted to be considered for an international scholarship will need to submit
one
AUT International Scholarship application form - their scholarship application will be provided to the Scholarship Panels to be considered for each scholarship for which they meet the eligibility criteria. Successful applicants will be awarded
one
scholarship only.
Description:
AUT International Scholarships are provided in the first year of full-time enrolment for undergraduate and postgraduate study.

Amount and Type of Award:
AUT International Scholarships are provided for the following levels of study:
Undergraduate Scholarships
A contribution to tuition fees of $5,000 paid in the first year of study.
Refer to the Regulations Appendix for eligible programmes.
Postgraduate Scholarships
A contribution to tuition fees of $7,000 paid in the first year of study.
Refer to the Regulations Appendix for eligible postgraduate programmes.
Doctoral programmes are excluded.
Faculty of Design & Creative Technologies
Dean's Merit Scholarships - Africa
Master’s degree:
o Contribution to tuition fees of $11,000 paid in the first year of study.
o Tenure: One year only
Bachelor degree:
o Contribution to tuition fees for three years: $7,000 in first year, $5,000 in second year, $3,000 in third year (Total value: $15,000)
o Tenure: Three years

Doctoral programmes are excluded.
Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences
Master of Philosophy Scholarships
Full international tuition fees and compulsory student services fees for 120pts in the approved Master of Philosophy programme.
Tenure: One year only
Faculty of Business, Economics and Law
Dean’s Merit Scholarships – Bachelor’s Degree
Contribution to tuition fees of $7,000 in first year, $3,000 in second year (Total value: $10,000) towards a Bachelor’s degree.
Applicants enrolling in an eligible Bachelor’s degree with an AUT equivalent GPA of B+ or higher in their last completed qualification will be considered for this category.

Important Information:
Eligible programmes are bachelor’s degree level or above (excluding doctoral) and 120 points or more in duration.
International students are not citizens, permanent residents nor resident visa holders of New Zealand or Australia.
The scholarship will be paid as a compulsory fees credit towards the first year of study at AUT on successful completion of the first semester of study of the approved programme.
AUT is not obliged to make an award if there is no candidate of sufficient merit.
The regulations are periodically reviewed by the University Scholarships Committee and are subject to change.
