AUT Inspire Her: Te Whakatipuranga Wahine Scholarships - 2024

Brief Description:

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) provides undergraduate scholarships to recognise student academic achievement and contribution to school and community. As well as recognising academic achievement, these scholarships also recognise potential leadership ability and contribution to the school, community or cultural pursuits or sport at a representative level.

Description:

In response to AUT’s commitments to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equity, the scholarships are available to Māori and Pacific wahine students who attend the Inspire Her: Te Whakatipuranga Wahine event in the year of application.

NUMBER OF AWARDS
School of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences
  • 3 scholarships for Māori or Pacific wahine


Amount and Type of Award:

  • First Year – Stipend $4,000.
  • Second Year – Full tuition fees and compulsory student services fee plus a stipend of $2,000.
  • Third Year - Full tuition fees and compulsory student services fee plus a stipend of $2,000.
  • Fourth Year - Full tuition fees and compulsory student services fee.


Tenure:

The scholarship is awarded for a maximum of four years (depending on the student’s approved programme of study) subject to the student passing all papers in each year of study.
Academic progress will be monitored each semester.

Important Information:

  • Applications will open in October of the year prior to the commencement of study at AUT.
  • Applicants must have attended the Inspire Her: Te Whakatipuranga Wahine Event.
