Electric Kiwi-AUT Women in STEM Scholarship

Brief Description:

Given the strategic importance of STEM fields for New Zealand’s future, ensuring females have equitable access to education and careers in these sectors is vital. Electric Kiwi is proud to support AUT in bridging the gap between study and employment, connecting STEM students with female role models, engaging them in workshops and talks, and offering financial support that helps to prepare and develop female tertiary students for the careers of the twenty-first century.

Amount and Type of Award:

The scholarship covers one year of tuition fees (including compulsory student fees) for full-time study (120 points).

Tenure:

One year of full-time study.

Important Information:

  • The award of this scholarship is conditional on the student enrolling in the second or subsequent year of a bachelor’s degree programme delivered within the Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies that is STEM/technology related.
  • The recipient will enrol in no less than 120pts during the year of tenure of the scholarship.
  • The award will be paid as tuition fees and compulsory student fees to the recipients AUT fees account.
