AUT School Leaver Scholarships - 2022

Brief Description:

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) provides undergraduate scholarships to reward student academic achievement and contribution to their school and community. As well as recognising academic achievement, these scholarships also recognise potential leadership ability and contribution to the school, community or cultural pursuits or sport at a representative level.

Description:

AUT Find Your Greatness Scholarship - School Leaver are available under the categories below, applicants are encouraged to apply for all categories for which they are eligible.
  • Academic Excellence: High academic achievement.
  • All Rounder: Contribution at a high level to the school or community. Applicants under this category must hold leadership positions and/or be active in cultural pursuits or sport at a representative level.
  • Kiwa: Māori and Pacific students demonstrating all-round ability and leadership potential. Applicants applying under this category must declare that they are of Māori or Pacific descent and also declare this ethnicity when applying for admission to AUT.
  • Hiki Ake: Students demonstrating academic potential but are experiencing financial hardship or have been disadvantaged due to personal circumstances, making it difficult to undertake tertiary study.
AUT Welcome to Auckland Scholarships are available to high achieving secondary school students living in provincial/rural areas (out of Auckland) intending to enrol in bachelor’s degree study at AUT in Semester One of the year following application.

Amount and Type of Award:

AUT Find Your Greatness Scholarships - School Leaver
An award of up to $14,000 to support full-time study (120 points per year) in a bachelor’s degree programme at AUT.  Refer to the Regulations for full details.

AUT Welcome to Auckland Scholarships
An award of up to $17,000 to support full-time study (120 points per year) in a bachelor’s degree programme at AUT.  Refer to the Regulations for full details 

Tenure:

The scholarships are awarded for up to three years, subject to satisfactory progress.
