Brief Description:

The HOPE Foundation Scholarships are intended to support scientists in the early stages of their careers conducting research into ageing. The HOPE Foundation for Research on Ageing is a non-Government funded Charitable Trust established to prepare New Zealand for an ageing future.

The HOPE Foundation seeks to encourage research into ageing phenomena both at the individual and societal level, because they believe that as the nation ages, many issues will arise that will have to be addressed in order to assist New Zealand society to cope with the effects of our ageing population. In this way, the Foundation wants to help prepare New Zealand for an ageing future. The Scholarships were offered at Auckland University of Technology (AUT) for the first time for study from 2014 and are funded by the HOPE Foundation and their sponsors.

Amount and Type of Award:

The value of the scholarship is $6,000.
One scholarship will be awarded annually.
The Scholarship will be paid in two installments, at the beginning of each semester.

Tenure:

The scholarship will be awarded for a period of one year
