Brief Description:

In tribute to the memory of Professor Des Graydon, a highly respected leader of the AUT community and Dean of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law for 20 years, the AUT Business School is pleased to be able to offer a scholarship to a secondary school student who intends to study in the Bachelor of Business programme. The aim of the scholarship is to encourage and support students facing financial barriers to undertake undergraduate studies in Business.

Amount and Type of Award:

There is one Des Graydon Memorial Scholarship offered on a contestable basis each year.
The scholarship consists of an annual $6,000 contribution towards second and third year tuition fees in the Bachelor of Business (up to a maximum of 240 points).

Tenure:

The tenure of this scholarship is for the second and third years of full-time study in the Bachelor of Business, renewed annually.
Annual renewal of the scholarship will be based on the student attaining a minimum B grade average at the end of each year of study. Academic progress will be monitored each semester.
In exceptional circumstances, a recipient may apply to the Scholarships Office for a deferment of his or her scholarship.
